Moslem Grammar School alumni supports alma mater with educational materials

As part of efforts targeted at contributing greatly to the standard of education at their alma mater, former students of Moslem Grammar School, Ibadan, Class of 2001 precisely, recently donated educational materials to the school.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony of the items to the school recently, President of the Class of 2001, Adeyemi Saheed Babalola, said:”In the past year, we have seen policy changes that have helped grow our participation and contributions towards the development of our school and our members; we have also seen Executive Orders that will help us set the standards for better future engagement. 

“And now that we have achieved these things, what is next? Well, as always, it is up to us to continue working together towards our shared goals. We are looking forward to more collaborations, engagements and understanding of our members to see the need of helping our school, support ourselves and seek for others that have the capacity to lead this MGS class of 2001 brace up for the task ahead because our next anniversary for new leadership to emerge and paddle the affairs of the reunion home.”

While sharing information on the items donated to the school, Project committee chairman, Mr Azeez Hammed Olanrewaju, noted that:” Some months ago, a team of coordinators of our various conversation platforms and other members came to this school for inspection of our school environment and they noticed some pupils do not have chairs and desks which are suppose to guarantee a conducive environment for learning.

All the members arrived at a conclusion to have 100 chairs and desks but today we are able to achieve 50 chairs and desks with learning materials which is 600 hundred pieces of exercises books and pens for the first face as a result of economic situation in Nigeria.”

The National President of Moslem Grammar School old students Association, Alhaji Kayode Adeleke, commended the Class of 2001 for the gesture towards their alma mater with a call to them not relent, while also calling on other old students to emulate the gesture.

Vice-Principal of the school, Alhaji Mukhtar Fasasi, who happens to be one of the teachers who taught the old students while appreciating the Class of 2001 for the donation of educational items to the school stated that he was not surprised by what they did as they were all good students throughout their stay in the school.
