In a pioneering move within the African creative landscape, MAD House by Tikera Africa, conceptualised by award-winning creative artist Bayo Omoboriowo, has introduced its entrepreneurial incubator programme, the Lens-Based Incubator Programme (LENSBIP).
This creative hub aims to position creative entrepreneurship as a catalyst for economic growth in Nigeria.
For its inaugural programming, MAD House has officially launched LENSBIP—a three-month incubation opportunity designed for 20 emerging creative leaders and entrepreneurs working in digital art, film, animation, photography, and other lens-based mediums.
The objective is to provide these changemakers with entrepreneurial development opportunities and seed funding to transform their creative ideas into viable and scalable businesses.
According to Bayo Omoboriowo, Founder of MAD House by Tikera Africa, “LENSBIP is the springboard creative need to transform visionary ideas into tangible, high-impact products and services, shaping a new narrative for the Africa we want through the lens.”
Our objective is to foster sustainable creative industries not only in Nigeria but also globally by providing financial support, mentorship, and knowledge investment to aid development.
The goal is to foster sustainable creative industries not only in Nigeria but globally, offering financial support, mentorship, and knowledge investment to aid development.
According to the creator, the cohort of 20 changemakers will be selected based on their business potential, social impact, innovation, and creativity.
They will have full access to specialised workshops, case studies, internships, and equipment, collaborating with a pool of top global business and creative industry leaders.
At the programme’s conclusion, participants will present their refined business plans and prototypes to a panel of judges for a chance to win up to $10,000 USD in seed funding to launch and sustain their creative enterprises.
