Kogi, Korea to strengthen technology-based education

THE Kogi State government and the Republic of Korea, through the Korea International Cooperation Agency, (KOICA) are building on their existing relationship to improve technology-based education in the state.

In a teleconference meeting held which the governor participated in from his office in Lokoja recently, the country director of KOICA, Woochan Chang, spoke on the need to conduct an assessment for the formulation of a possible follow-up support to the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute of Vocational and Advanced Technology, Lokoja.

While commending KOICA for the establishment of Nigeria-Korea Friendship Institute of Vocational and Advanced Technology in the state, Governor Bello said the state is willing and ready to have more of Korean investments in agriculture, transportation and infrastructure in addition to education intervention.

The governor commended the government of the Republic of Korea and gave assurances of his government’s commitment to the partnership.
