The Chairman of the Lokoja/Koto Traditional Council, Ohimege Igu Kotonkarfe, Alhaji. Abdulrazak Isa Koto has assured the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo of his support and that of his people.

He noted that the ancestors of the ancient town are supportive of his candidature for the November 11 election.

The Royal Father made this known when Ododo paid him a courtesy visit at his Palace in Kotonkarfe, saying Kotonkarfe will play a big role in ensuring his smooth victory.

“You have my prayers, you have my blessings and you have the support of the people. Today, I give you an ancestral blessing to come out victorious,” he prayed.

Earlier, the candidate of the party had extolled the Royal Father for fostering unity in the entire Kogi Local Government Area, commending him for ensuring peace and security in the entire Kingdom.

“For me, it is a homecoming and a visit to father that has always been a blessing to me. I thank you for supporting my Boss, HE Alh. Yahaya Bello to succeed. I have no doubt that you will always pay a fatherly role to make us succeed.

“Our administration will consolidate the gains we have recorded in security, education, healthcare, infrastructural development as well as human capital development. We owe the people good governance as we cannot let down the flag of progress hoisted by Alh. Yahaya Bello”.

In his remarks, a leader of the APC in the Local Government Area and Galadima of Kotonkarfe, Alh. Saliu Akawu Saidu expressed confidence in the capacity of the candidate and the party to record victory.

“The candidate came to see me and we have agreed to work together and by the grace of Allah, he shall be successful. He has come to Your Royal Majesty for blessing and I have no doubt that our father will bless him”, he said.
