Join us to move Nasarawa forward, APC tells PDP

The Nasarawa chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has berated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State for “suddenly becoming tongue twisters of every well-thought-out policy and statement of Governor Abdullahi Sule” urging the opposition to join them in moving the State forward.

The state chairman of the party, Aliyu Bello who stated this at a press conference Wednesday evening in Lafia, said since the split judgement at the tribunal against Governor Sule, the opposition in the state has continued to find fault in any policy and statement of the Governor.

The APC chairman noted that”It is obvious that the PDP seems to be agitated and ruffled with anything that comes from the Engr Abdullahi A Sule administration no matter how good and beneficial it appears.

“We are not surprised though because that is the administration they are seeking to change or overthrow with or without the courts. They have decided and determined to misinterpret every statement that emanates from anybody that has something to do with the government in power,” Bello said.

He explained that since the split judgement of the governorship election tribunal, a number of issues have emerged from the opposition PDP, hence the explanation to put record straight.

“Distinguished ladies and gentlemen of the press, it is my pleasure to address you again today in continuation of our previous interactions with you. It is pertinent to note that since the split judgement of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, a number of issues have emerged especially from the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP). It has become necessary to speak with you in order to put things in their right perspective”; he explained.

Calling on the general public to disregard any comments from the PDP attacking gov. Sule and APC, the APC chairman invited the opposition party to join the APC with a sense of patriotism and come up with ideas to help move the state forward.

“By this singular efforts, we are calling on the PDP if they truly care about the development of the state as they claimed, to join us (APC) dutifully and with all sense of patriotism come up with ideas that will help move the state forward instead of their regular unpalatable and Inciting commentaries capable of causing friction in the State. Together we can build a viral and egalitarian state for all,” Bello stated.

Bello, therefore, called on the peace loving people of Nasarawa to remain focused and not to be deceived by the kind of propaganda by the opposition, saying the APC members “have since moved on, taking solace in the fact that the Appeal Court shall review and reverse the judgement in favor of our party with the merit of facts and law”.
