Ignore mischief-makers, Kailani Mohammed still our DG — Amalgamated APC support groups 

The Amalgamated APC Support Groups (AASG) has refuted a claim that the National Chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, has endorsed and recognised Dr. Nasiru Ladan Mohammed as its new Director General. 

The group, which described the claim as a misinterpretation by mischief makers, affirmed however that Engr Kailani Mohammed is still its Director General. 

In a press release signed by its deputy DG, Hajiya Maryam Danjaki, the amalgamated APC support groups stated that the statement “is not only false and misleading, but also an attempt to distract the management of AASG, led by the able and capable DG, Engr. (Dr.) Kailani Mohammed, and her Deputy DG, Hajiya Maryam Yunusa Danjaki, from performing the onerous task of repositioning the AASG.”

According to the release,  Ladan Mohammed did lead some support groups’ leaders to the APC national chairman “on Thursday 30th March 2023 and the chairman did mentioned in his statement during the meeting, that, so far as the APC under his leadership is concerned,  they have just one support group, and that’s Amalgamated APC Support Groups. But some mischief makers are now misinterpreting the chairman’s statement as endorsement of Ladan as the DG AASG.”

Continuing, AASG stated that APC as a party has no control over appointment of DG for the group but the management. It stated that Ladan was once appointed and sacked with the APC duly informed. 

“We wish to state categorically and emphatically, that, whatever statement the chairman might have made during that meeting, must have come out of Dr. Ladan’s fallacious misrepresentation of facts on the true position of the leadership of AASG. 

“To set the record straight, it is not the party that appointed the DG of Amalgamated. The management of Amalgamated APC Support Groups, had, through a unanimous decision appointed and later sacked Dr. Ladan Mohammed before the general elections and he has since then seized to be the DG of Amalgamated. And the party was duly informed of the development.  However, to clear his doubts, a team of directors of Amalgamated have already been delegated to meet with the party leadership, to convey the message of Dr. Ladan’s to the party once again,” it added.

The support groups, however, urged the public to disregard the statement from Nasiru Ladan claiming to be DG of the group.
