How to start a tote bag business with N10,000

Tote bag business is very lucrative especially for students in higher institution  I guess it is not strange because tote bags have become a fashion piece for both male and female higher institution students. In fact it makes the school load easy to carry. Bag making is easy to learn; just make sure you already know how to use a sewing  machine.

To start with, try out making simple bag that requires light materials. Your target audience can be students and organizations. If you are in a school environment, students are an easy target customer. As for organisations, you can get the to order fr your tote bag as souvenirs for seminars or social events. 

However, you must make sure your tote bag finishing is neat and creative. That is the only way to make your customers coming for more.

You must be conscious of your work because finishing says it all. Trimming is compulsory after sewing. 

For a simple tote bag all you need is to have a nice print on it or a design. Anything that would just make it unique.

You must go for affordability and quality. You start with cotton or African fabric depending on what your customers want.

The life span of every business depends on how you manage it. Make sure you are genuine with your customers.

As time goes on, you should master the art of estimation and budgeting. Estimating the number of bags you can get from a material and how much your cost of production will be.

Make sure you always have samples. Whenever you have something in mind; try it out, use it yourself and advertise it in your own way. This process might not be easy at first; passion would keep you going.
