Gunmen abduct teenager in Ondo, demand N10m ransom

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted a 19-year-old girl, Adetutu Okibaloye in Imoru town, in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo state, demanding 10m as ransom to secure his release.

It was gathered that the young girl was kidnapped in her home when the kidnappers invaded the home and left with three people.

According to a source, the kidnappers threatened to kill the three victims and inflicted injuries on the people including the aunt.

The kidnappers took away the young lady while the other two escaped while marching them into the forest.

However, the kidnappers contacted the family of the victim, Okibaloye, demanding N10m before she can regain her freedom

A family source explained that operatives of the Ondo Amotekun corps have been on the trail of the kidnappers.

Ondo Police spokesman, SP Funmilayo Odunlami Omisanya, while confirming the incident, said the incident was not reported officially to the police.

She, however, said, the Divisional Police Officer in the town, confirmed that the monarch of the town called him on Saturday that three people were abducted in the town during the election.

She said three people were abducted by unknown gunmen, but two of the victims escaped from their abductor while the young lady was whisked away by the hoodlums.
