Gov Sule submits 17 commissioner-nominees to Nasarawa Assembly

Nasarawa Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has forwarded 17 names as commissioner-nominees to the Nasarawa State House of Assembly (NSHA) for screening and confirmation to serve as members of the state executive council.

Governor Sule in another letter sent to the state Assembly during the emergency sitting on Friday also requested the house to approve the appointment of 20 special advisers to help coordinate his policy document.

The commissioner nominees as read by the speaker are: Yakubu Kwanta -Akwanga Local government, Aisha Rufai Ibrahim -Awe Local government, Umar Dan’Akano-Awe local government, Munirat Abdullahi-Doma local government, Magret Elayo-Keana local government, Bala Mulku-Keffi local government, John Mamman-Kokona local government, Timothy Kasuwa-Karu local government.

Other nominees sent to the assembly for consideration are: Jafaru Ango-Karu local government, Abubakar Imam Zanwa-Lafia local government, Samuel Kaku Emba- Lafia, Lafia local government, Aliyu Tijjani-Nasarawa local government, Haruna Musa-Nasarawa Eggon local government, Mohammed Eyimoga-Obi local government, Barr. Labaran Magaji-Toto local government, Dr Gwamna Gaza-Toto local government and Muazu Gosho-Wamba Local government.

The speaker, Abdulahi directed the clerk of the house to communicate to the commissioner-nominees to submit their Curriculum Vitae (CVs) on or before Monday for screening and possible confirmation on Tuesday.

Similarly, the Nasarawa State House of Assembly has approved the request for the appointment of 20 Special Advisers by Gov. Abdullahi Sule.

The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon Abdullahi announced the approval during the emergency sitting of the House in Lafia.

The Speaker said that the speedy approval was to enable the Governor appoint the 20 Special Advisers that would help him in achieving his administration policies.

The Speaker assured of the House’s readiness to effectively collaborate with the Executive arm in order to ensure speedy development in the State.
