Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the Governor of Gombe State, has given his approval for the appointment of the chairman and members of the Gombe State Drugs and Medical Consumables Management Agency (GSDMCMA).
The Secretary to the State Government, Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, who conveyed the Governor’s approval, announced Dr Ismail Jibrin Kwami as the Chairman, with Hajiya Maimuna Idi, Dahiru Kala, and Dr Danladi Adamu Bojude of the Federal Teaching Hospital (FTH) Gombe as members.
Also appointed as members are: Alhassan Yahaya Abdullahi, representing civil society organisations; Permanent Secretaries of the Ministries of Justice and Health; and Pharm. Sebastine Zubairu, representing the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria.
Other members include: Dr. Ahmed Adamu Girbo, representing the Nigeria Medical Association; Idris Musa, representing the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives; Adamu Yusuf Degri, representing the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists; Umar Usman Gombe, representing the Community Health Practitioners Association; and a Representative of NAFDAC. Additionally, Pharm Caleb Faransa, the Executive Secretary of the Agency, will serve as the Secretary.
All appointments are effective from October 11, 2023, as stated in a press release by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General of Press Affairs, Government House, Gombe.
