Ghastly lone crash claims 5 lives in Bauchi

A lone fatal accident involving an Astra Vectra commercial vehicle has claimed five lives while one person was seriously injured.

A road traffic crash (RTC) report from RS 12.1, Bauchi Sector Command of the Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC) indicated that the crash occurred on Monday, 24/04/20223 at 0705hrs.

It was at 07:08hrs when personnel of the FRSC arrived at 0734hrs making a response time of 26 minutes at Tashan Durumi along the Bauchi – Jos ever-busy Federal Highway.

According to the FRSC Sector Commander, Yusuf Abdullahi, the Vehicle involved had Registration number, 01 JJN-358PU with speed limit violation (SPV) as the probable cause of the crash.

Six people, comprising 2 male adults and 4 female adults were injured in the crash out of which number, 5 made up of 1 male adult and 4 female adults were killed.

The injured victim and the dead bodies were handed over to the OC in charge of Tashan Durumi outpost, ASP Ahmed Usman as reported by MI-I M Mustapha for Sector Commander, Bauchi FRSC.
