COVID-19: The Riverwood Switch Foundation adds new initiative

With many a family struggling to make ends meet in the trying COVID-19 times, The Riverwood Switch Foundation has complemented its scholarship programme by providing foodstuffs to the families of its scholarship beneficiaries, in an attempt to cushion the biting economic challenges.

Speaking with R, founder & president of The Riverwood Switch Foundation, Mobolaji Oriola, said he believed that it is only when kids have eaten and are alive that the thought of going to school can be pleasing to them.

The Riverwood Switch Foundation prior to now had adopted a low cost school which was undergoing rehabilitation and also enrolled a number of children into the school under its “Educate Our Children” scholarship programme.

The scholarship programme includes payment of fees, provision of uniforms, bags, sandals, textbooks, sports wears, writing materials, exercise books and healthcare.

Mobolaji stated that Riverwood Switch is a developmental organization focused addressing the education gap in Nigeria.
