COVID-19: Dismissed Kano commissioner who ‘celebrated’ Abba Kyari’s death, tests positive

Former Kano State commissioner for works and infrastructure, Muaz Magaji who was fired by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje for celebrating the death of late Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff to President Muhammad Buhari has tested positive to COVID-19.

Magaji announced his status through his verified Facebook timeline.

According to him, he has been moved to one of the isolation centres in the state.

According to him: “This morning, my NCDC test is out. I have been confirmed COVID-19 positive, and have been moved to one of the state facilities.”

Recall that the former commissioner was fired on the 18th April 2020 for posting unguarded comments on his Facebook page. An allegation he had since denied saying he had been misunderstood but had accepted his ordeal in good faith.
