It was double celebrations for the Christ Apostolic Church Nigeria and Overseas, recently, as the church inaugurated a new Senate building of its university, the Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU), and presented certificates of empowerment to 11 church members trained in different trades, at the university›s main campus in Arakeji, Osun State.
Speaking at the event, President of C.A.C Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samson Oladele, expressed delight at the feats the university had continued to record since its establishment in 2004.
He also expressed appreciation to the church’s Mission Director and Chairman, Caxtonjoe Group, Pastor Segun Fajuyi and his wife, Mrs. Titilayo Fasuyi, for deeming it fit to donate the Senate building to the university.
He noted that such gesture would go a long way in enhancing the smooth running of the university; while also making the academic environment more convenient for the decision-making body of the university.
While expressing the university’s appreciation for the gesture, its Vice Chancellor, Professor Olaosebikan Fakolujo, described the edifice as prayer-answered for the university.
He stated that the imperative for a Senate building had been the prayers of the university for a very long time; noting that Senate buildings remain a focal point of attraction to any university.
Professor Fakolujo added that the donor, a member of the implementation committee of the university, had shown love for the progress and sustenance of the university.
