Zamfara State House of Assembly on Wednesday impeached the state Deputy Governor, Mahdi Aliyu Gusau.
This came after the seven-member panel investigating the offences levelled against the deputy governor submitted its report to the speaker of the House of Assembly.
It was gathered that the deputy governor was absent during the panel’s sitting which lasted for two days.
At the preliminary sitting, it was gathered that 20 out of the 24 members of the House supported the motion for its impeachment.
