Bauchi Polytechnic Alumni urged to collaborate for institution’s progress

Members of the Alumni of the Bauchi State-owned Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic (ATAP Poly) have been charged to join hands to promote and develop the institution.

The charge was made by the Interim National President of the Alumni, Prince Mohammed Sani Hassan, in a statement jointly signed preparatory to the first General Assembly Congress of the Alumni, coming up on March 30, 2024, at the premises of Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi.

According to him, “It’s no longer news that over the years, the institution has produced seasoned administrators, academics, heads of boards, agencies, political office holders, barristers, and many more who are members of this alumni.”

Mohammed Hassan stressed that “we will join hands together to promote and develop our institution. That is the only thing we can do to ensure the development and growth of our academic foundation.”

The Interim National President said that “ATAPOLY Alumni is not an exception to the lofty aims and objectives in contributing to the development of the instruction.

Hence, it’s our collective responsibility, as a matter of urgency, to work out deliberate and conscious steps for the actualization of this onerous task.”

He said, Indeed, we have leading leaders, men and women, of honour, integrity, selflessness, candour, and charisma in our alumni, both nationally and internationally. We appreciate the contributions of our Rector, Dr. Hashimu Sabo Bello, for his support and contributions.”

On his own, the Interim National Secretary of the Alumni, Comr. Umar Ahmed Arabi said that the membership of the alumni cuts across all strata of life, as most of the members hold important and sensitive positions wherever they are.

He assured that members would do everything humanly possible to contribute positively to the growth and development of the institution, which, he said, built them up into what every one of them is now.

The National Secretary commended the present management of the institution for the great work it is doing both academically and structurally to make the institution one of the best in the country.

He then assured that the planning for the Congress in March 2024 is going smoothly, with the hope of a successful coming together for the progress of the institution.

Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi, was established by edict No. 1 of 1988 through the merger of the defunct Bauchi College of Arts (BACAS), which was established in 1976, and the College of Administration, Azare.
