I want to know if it is true that all cases of appendicitis must be treated with surgery. I was recently diagnosed with surgery and I want to use only drugs but my doctor wants to operate me. He said it could be dangerous if the appendix bursts.

Untreated appendicitis may lead to a burst appendix. While rare, some people recover from appendicitis on their own, usually because the blockage or infection goes away by itself. However, many others require surgery to stop the appendix from bursting.
The exact mortality rate for ruptured appendicitis is not known, however it is believed to be around 50% or more if left untreated (or in an area with no medical resources available). Which means if your appendix bursts, and you can’t make it to a hospital, your life is in danger. Those in underdeveloped areas who don’t have access to medical care often suffer severe infections, and possibly sepsis if their appendicitis bursts, and many of them die. If you suspect appendicitis, waste no time in going to the hospital. It’s not worth trying to find out how resilient your body is.
