APC condoles with Olusola Oke over loss of mum

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, has commiserated with one of its aspirants in the forthcoming governorship election in the state, Chief Olusola Oke, over the death of his mother, Mrs Mariam Oke.

In a statement signed by the Publicity Secretary of the party in the state, Mr Alex Kalejaye, said the State Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin expresses shock over the sad news and prays the Almighty God to comfort the politician, his siblings, and the entire family.

Adetimehin stated that the nonagenarian passed away at a time her counsel and support were still very much in demand.

He is optimistic that the late Mrs Oke has gone to rest, judging by her service to God and humanity while on earth.

“Mama was a very generous person; she demonstrated love and generosity to individuals around her, and churches, as a devoted Christian.”

He prayed that the soul of the departed will find peace with God, assuring that the State chapter of APC mourns with Chief Oke and his family at this trying time.

Oke had announced the death of her mother in a statement personally signed by him on Thursday saying “I lost my mother, Mrs Mariam Oke to the cold hands of death. She departed to join the saints at the ripe age of 91 after a brief illness.

“Mrs Oke, the Mother of Nation as she was fondly called, lived a sacrificial life for all her children. relations and friends alike.

“We shall all miss her motherly care, prayer and most importantly, her infectious kindness to all
