Ansar-Ud-Deen prays for Kaduna gov’s quick recovery

THE Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria, Kaduna branch, has prayed for the quick recovery of the Kaduna State governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai and other people in the country and the world who have tested positive for coronavirus.

A statement signed by the secretary of the ADS Kaduna branch, Mr Sheriff Olutusin, called for intensive prayers from Muslims for God to end the scourge, while urging Nigerians to follow the principles of hygiene and other guidelines stipulated by experts to ward off the disease.

The statement reads in part: “Ansar-Ud Deen Society, Kaduna branch and the entire Muslim Ummah of Kaduna State are saddened to receive the news of the infection of our icon, the dynamic and hard-working governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai, with coronavirus (Covid-19).

“His Excellency has shown Kaduna State indigenes and the country as a whole, leadership quality and commitment to protect the lives and property of citizens of Kaduna State.

“We pray to Almighty God to heal you and protect your family as you go through self-isolation. Similarly, we pray for the protection of all the citizens of the state from the COVID-19 scourge.

“Coronavirus has no known cure for now but it is not a death sentence as it can be managed. Thus, all hands must be on deck.
