10,048 die of coronavirus worldwide from 245,913 cases

As of Friday, March 20, 2020, across the world, there are 245,913 reported cases of coronavirus, out of which 10,048 people have died.

Interestingly, 88,465 people have either recovered or been discharged. Add this figure to those who have died and it gives a total of 98,513 closed cases.

According to worldometers.info, there are 147,400 active cases of patients who are currently infected. Among the active cases, 140,015 persons (95 per cent) are in mild condition while 7,385 people (5 per cent) are in critical condition.

China has the highest figure in total cases of coronavirus with 80,967 with 3,248 deaths.

Italy has the second highest figure in total cases of coronavirus with 41,035, but has the highest number of deaths with 3,405.

Iran is third in total cases of coronavirus with 18,407.

Spain is fourth in total cases of coronavirus with 18,077.

Germany comes fifth with 15,320 cases; the US is sixth with 14,366 infected persons.
