The forum of governors on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has described their colleague in Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni as a shining light in the ruling party.
The Governors gave the commendation in a birthday message addressed to Governor Buni, on the occasion of his birthday.
Kebbi State governor and Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), Abubakar Atiku Bagudu in a statement issued at the weekend commended the leadership, vision, and commitment of his Yobe state counterpart to a united and prosperous Nigeria.
Governor Bagudu who described the Yobe state governor as a team player noted his “inclusiveness leadership”, a consistent and selfless contributor to progressive initiatives towards developing the states and Nigeria.
The Kebbi state governor further reaffirmed the collective commitment of the PGF to implement programmes that would strengthen the capacities of APC-controlled states to create jobs, stimulate economic activity, reduce inequality and diminish poverty in Nigeria.
The statement read in part: “Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) joins HE Mai Mala Buni, Chairman, APC Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee and Governor of Yobe State, to celebrate his 54th birthday. Along with the people of Yobe State, and other well-meaning Nigerians, we join his family to celebrate this special occasion.
“We wish to acknowledge and commend your leadership, vision, and commitment to a united and prosperous Nigeria. As the Chairman, APC Caretaker, and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, we celebrate your inclusiveness leadership in this period of the life of our party, APC. You have been a consistent and selfless contributor to progressive initiatives towards developing our states and Nigeria.
“We also recognise your insightful and resolute inputs to the processes of managing governance in Yobe State. As Governor of Yobe State, through all the development initiatives being implemented by your APC-led government, you are a shining light of our politics!
“As we rejoice with, HE Mai Mala Buni, we also reaffirmed our collective commitment to implement programmes that would strengthen the capacities of our progressive states to create jobs, stimulate economic activity, reduce inequality and diminish poverty in Nigeria.”
