The Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) has blamed the problems of the All Progressive Congress (APC) on its National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.
Responding to the party boss’ press conference where he accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of working with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following the inability of the APC to field candidates in Rivers and Zamfara States, the coalition maintained that rather than blame the opposition, Oshiomhole should examine himself because the ruling party’s problems are self-inflicted.
A statement issued by by the spokesman of CUPP, Ikenga Ugochinyere in Abuja on Wednesday said: “The attention of Opposition Coalition CUPP has been drawn to a statement credited to the rabble-rousing National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole, that the Independent National Electoral Commission is working for the Peoples Democratic Party, especially in Rivers and the Zamfara States where his party has been barred from presenting candidates.

“We make bold to say that PDP is not APC’s problem. The party’s problem is Oshiomhole’s penchant for lawless actions, compromise and bribery for which he had been invited by the Department of State Services at a time. These factors combined to ruin the party.
“Oshiomhole should also note that the decision to bar his party in those states was a court decision, he must, therefore, learn to nurse his self-inflicted wound with calmness.”
“We are also warning him well ahead of that the big one is coming on Saturday when Nigerians will unanimously vote out the clueless government his party has foisted on them for almost four years.”
