The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has explained that the darkness being experienced in neighbourhoods of its franchise is due to the fall in electricity supply from the national grid.
The IBEDC however noted that a sustainable solution is being devised to address the inconvenience the fall in power supply is causing its customers.
The statement from IBEDC reads: “The drop in electricity supply currently being experienced is a result of the load allocation constraints across our franchise area from the national grid.
“We are working with stakeholders in the electricity value chain on a sustainable resolution.”
“We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and appeal for your understanding”
IBEDC distributes electricity to places like Ibadan, Kwara, Osun, Oyo and Ogun.
