Why PMB’s second term can be helpful

Published by

MANY people think that PMB’s re-election or second term of office can have some advantages. One, there is an opportunity for more good governance devoid of politics or distraction.

Second, is the value usually associated with continuity: sustainability of programmes and initiatives. Third, is the hope or optimism for a more favourable legislature for the people to experience more dividends of democracy and not experience budget padding, delay in the passage of the budget, confirmation of appointments, etc.

Fourth is the high expectation for a more potent anti-corruption fight and utilisation of the recovered resources for the good of the nation. Fifth, it will facilitate power shift to the South sooner than later for good.
