Where Art Thou, Jimoh Moshood?

Published by

THE lightening disappearance of the immediate-past pompous Force PPRO, Jimoh Moshood, into the night of the day his equally-uppity principal, Ibrahim Kpotum Idris transmitted, poignantly reminds of the fall of humanity grandpee, Mr Adam and grandmee, Mrs Eve Adam.

Kpotum and Jimoh’s bromance was stewed in indignity, with both seemingly hell-bent to see each other to the altar of infamy they now find themselves. At the decoration of his successor, Adamu Mohammed, whose visage reads all establishment despite the opening-glee, Kpotum’s disappointment was barely concealed. Who would not want to manage general election security budget? And after the Armed Forces Remembrance Day fiasco with Bukola Saraki, Kpotum lost all élan, sitting at the force headquarters in mufti, watching the new man, dazzle the gullible.

At least, the crestfallen outgone IGP managed an appearance. Not Jimoh. Immediately it dawned on him that the establishment considered him a better-not-have by replacing him with alacrity, Jimoh must have suddenly realized his nakedness all this while, even when the ‘baba rere, baba ke’ (ego massage thumb up) was still flowing like Nile. The day of the Lord has now come for the one He deliberately put in a glorious garden, with unbelievable freebies, only to fasten his greed and irascibility on the forbidden fruit. Well, God isn’t asking those He has deliberately buttered their bread, even when unworthy, not to eat the forbidden fruit, only that they should be ready for the comeuppances. Jimoh left ‘omoluwabi’ behind, running a slavish errand, like a slave he wanted to be to a capricious Kpotum. ‘Ipo ti Oluwa ba gbewa si, adanwo ni’ (God tests our faithfulness to Him, with little things). What about Jimoh suddenly surfacing in Benue to cohabit with the one he denounced as a drowning governor.

Amaechi vs Amaechi (II)

With a Trump and his derangement syndrome gripping the mainstream US media, you know where you stand. The American leader has practically broken all Washington rules on the preservation of the political class, reason both the professional Republicans and Democrats can’t wait to see his back. But things are a little different here. That is why a hitherto respected voice like Professor Sola Adeyeye would get to Senate and see no evil again and now that his wife is the NAFDAC boss, former fire-brand may not hear evil again.

Going forward, it is certain other aides with unsavoury opinion of Mr. President will be more discreet and wary if they must speak up at all, considering the discomforting situation Amaechi has found himself. But our Lord Jesus had decreed that everything hidden would be made known. Because whatever He said must come to be, God has singularly used Amaechi to help Nigerians decode their president in a way no Harvard research, would.

When you combine Aisha Buhari’s expose with Amaechi’s, there would be nothing left to hide about the taciturn general. Nigerians, here is your leader millions have tried to unravel for years, a near-impossible venture, because the subject matter has always had a zero social life, though his ogling eyes caught the delectable First Lady.

Amaechi has unwittingly put the ball in Nigerians’ court. It is now for the citizenry to decide what to do with the exposed grizzly underbelly. And instead of celebrating Rotimi’s impending downfall, let everyone know the first enemy to conquer is self, particularly the tongue. Proverbs 17: 27 and 28 is waving a red flag this morning.

Ambode vs Ambode

Impeachment talks resumed within Lagos APC moments after thuggish party members disrupted its inaugural campaign. Outgoing Governor Akinwunmi Ambode is being fingered as the brain behind the embarrassing outing and some leaders are calling for his head. I blame him for engaging in shameful ‘makosa’ to pacify those who do not want him at their ‘owanbe.’ Can’t this fellow be a real man for once? What exactly is the current worth of the office for which he is now doing ‘boi-boi’? I hope they make haste in kicking him out, at least for the sake of men with balls, who would still occupy Alausa when Bourdillion era ends.

Washington Atikulating?

If there is one foe President Buhari and his courtiers must handle with care in days ahead, it is Olusegun Matthew Okikiola Aremu Obasanjo. With Atiku in US, Baba got one over his former “boy” now in Aso Rock. For a ruckus fellow like Baba Iyabo to suddenly go mute with all the attacks from Villa’s odds-and-ends, the president would not be worthy of his military epaulettes if the silence from Ota is read as sudden cowardice.

Is Washington going to be active around here again the way “those guys” were “involved” with our electoral process under Barack Obama? Maybe, maybe not. Trump says he is a nationalist and not world enforcer. But if Buhari seemed lifeless to him and he is concerned enough for the African gasping giant, then a repeat performance can be expected, maybe with minimal effect since Buhari, himself a beneficiary of world power conspiracy, should know their antics. But, it is still better not to have those guys messing around your pot of stew. For me, useful lessons, particularly spiritual didacticism, from every situation, is what should be key in all the 2019 drama around us. Was it a mere coincidence that as Obama was digging a hole around Goodluck Jonathan here, with the ultimate aim of burying him politically, new world terror, Vladimir Putin, was digging his own political grave right in his Washington background. Obama birthed a Buhari for Nigeria and got a Trump for a commensurate reward. Is it not always better to let the dead bury their dead? Just asking.
