Monkey Pox is a viral disease caused by monkey pox virus. It is mostly found in rodents and non-human primates. It was first discovered in humans in 1970 in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The disease is contracted through body contact with any infected material, animal or person and transmitted through broken parts of the skin (even if not visible), respiratory tract or the eyes, nose and mouth.
