Weight problems at 70

Published by

I am a 70-year-old woman. Even though I don’t eat all that much, I noticed that I have added a substantial amount of weight. I need your help as I don’t like my current physical appearance.

Apart from food, hormonal changes in old age also contribute to weight gain in the elderly. Therefore, in order to control your weight, you need to include physical activity in your daily routine. Try walking, swimming or other activities you enjoy. Regular moderate physical activity can help you maintain a healthy weight and lower your heart disease risk. In addition, you should also eat a healthy diet. Choose vegetables, fruits, whole grains, high-fiber foods and lean sources of protein, such as fish. Also, limit your intake of foods high in saturated fat and salt.
