Ward congress: Gov Bello lauds peaceful process, hails party members

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has commended All Progressives Congress (APC) members across the 239 wards of the state over what he described as a peaceful and orderly conducted party ward congress.

The governor also described the exercise as transparent, democratic and wholly the expression of the party faithful all across the state.

Governor Bello disclosed that the party membership in the state has increased significantly after the 2019 governorship election adding that the people believe in the APC-led administration in the state.

He noted that the party in Kogi State had a track record of conducting peaceful events owing largely to the fact that it operates an open policy and an all comers affairs where every individual at any level was equally recognized and regarded.

The governor added that the party adopted an affirmative system in the ward congress process because of how members’ voices have been united overtime in decision making particularly on decisions that had to do with the progress and advancement of the party in the state.

The party leader expressed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would continue to grow and thrive while it enlists new members from oppositions noting that the party was building a stronger structure which would ultimately render oppositions irrelevant.
