THE Council of Imams and Alfas in Ibadanland under the headship of the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheik Abdul Ganiy Abubakri Agbotomokekere, has rejoiced with President Muhamadu Buhari on his successful medical trip to London.
The council, in a statement signed by its spokesman and the Grand Mufti of Ibadanland, Alhaji Abdulfatai Alaga, enjoined the president to channel the vigour he acquired during the medical trip into revitalising Nigeria’s economy, fighting insurgency, resolving the Niger Delta crisis and revamping critical infrastructures.
It described as ungodly, deliberate rumour of the death of a living person and urged Nigerians to always support their leaders either in sickness or in health.
Advising Muslims to continuously pray for the good health of President Buhari, the spiritual leaders charged them to “remember our leaders” in the daily prayers for the peace and progress of the country.
