Tourism Transport expo holds November 15

The 2021 edition of the International Tourism Transport Summit is coming with more robust sessions to engage and facilitate seamless trade position for a liberalised market for Africans as it is set to hold at the Abuja International Conference Centre, Abuja, from November 15 and 16.

The Expo with the theme; Tourism Transportation Connectivity and Partnership: Leveraging the AfCFTA Regime for Economic Sustainability, is organised by the Institute for Tourism Professionals of Nigeria (ITPN), in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, Federal Ministry of Aviation, Federal Ministry of Transportation, Federal Capital Territory Administration, the organised private sector and relevant stakeholders in the Travel Tourism and Transportation sectors.

According to The National President of ITPN and Chairman, Main Organising Committee of the expo, Chief Abiodun Odusanwo, the choice of the theme for the 2021 edition of the Expo; Tourism Transportation Connectivity and Partnership: Leveraging the AfCFTA regime for Economic Sustainability was in line with the strategic framework to strengthening Africa’s common voice and policy space in global trade negotiations.

Odusanwo explained that the event would highlight and bring policy implementation modules developed for successive negotiation among trading partners in Africa, which would help to create a liberalised market for easy and free movement of goods and services.

“The Two-day programme which is expected to draw participants and exhibitors from the Travel Tourism, Transportation and the hospitality value chain amongst others across the Africa as well as the African Union (AU) and the ECOWAS will feature tourism transport summit, tourism transport training, exhibition-B2B and G2B sessions, tourism transport ambassadors award and the gala night.
