There is no division in South East PDP ― Gov. Umahi

The Chairman, South East Governor’s forum and Ebonyi State Governor Engr. David Nweze Umahi has maintained that the South East PDP are united and working together to give the party victory in the forthcoming election.
Governor Umahi who gave the clarification at Iboko in Izzi Local Government Area, during the Party campaign on Saturday 19th, warned the opposition parties in the zone to desist from giving false information to the public.
Umahi,  who maintained that Ebonyi State is 99 per cent PDP challenged other Gubernatorial Candidates on public debate.
He further advised the Izzi men and women never to give their votes to anyone outside PDP even if the person is their blood relation insisting that PDP remained the only party that will bring dividend of democracy to them.
However, Governor Umahi stated that current local government area tours and rallies were not to campaign per se, but principally to thank Ebonyians in advance for their guaranteed toward his victory in the forthcoming gubernatorial elections.
He maintained that the actualization of his numerous developmental projects across the State was paramount in his priority than campaigns for his re-election and promised to embark on new projects and effective supervision of on-going ones till the election day.
Gov. Umahi who maintained that God who sent him on the mission had already granted him victory.
Meanwhile, appreciating the people of Izzi Local government area for their support in 2015 in spite of their son who challenged him under Labour Party,  Umahi assured them that he would never relent in giving them the best infrastructures and government appointments.
He further urged them not to share their votes but to return all the PDP candidates at all levels come 2019 elections and seized the occasion to announce the elevator of his former Senior Special Assistant on Health Services, an indigene of the Council area to the position of a commissioner.
Umahi said: “We are not campaigning; we are doing projects and will continue to do projects.
“We do not need to campaign; we are going round to thank the people.
“What I want is for all the gubernatorial candidates to face me in a debate and I will beat them all.
“The good people of Izzi, I am moved by the way you rejected your son and endorsed me in 2015 and are still doing the same.
“I want to thank you and promise to do more for you for when God sends you on a mission, everything will be working well.
I have given you people the best concrete roads and I would discuss with the Speaker to see how we can fence and modernize your market.”
In their goodwill messages, the Speaker of the State House of  Assembly, Francis Nwifuru; the Chairman,  Divine Mandate Campaign Organisation,  Fidelis Nwankwo; the State PDP chairman, Onyekachi Nwebonyi and Izzi Council Chairman,  Paul Nwogha and other stakeholders from the council area  appreciated the Governor for favouring the Izzi people most in his administration.
They pledged to ensure total victory for Umahi and other PDP candidates in the area, adding that  Umahi has proven critics wrong with the superlative performance.
The event witnessed an unprecedented upsurge of innumerable Izzi sons and daughters at home and in the diaspora, cultural dances and solidarity march.
Party flags were handed over to the Party’s candidates at all levels.
