Task force co-chair, three members test positive for coronavirus in Kano

The Kano State Commissioner for Health, Dr Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa, on Friday, announced that the state COVID-19 Task force co-chair, Professor Abdulrazak Garba Habib and three other members have tested positive for coronavirus.

It would be recalled that Kano has 21 confirmed cases of the disease and one death as of 11.15 a.m. on Friday.

This was contained in a statement signed by the ministry’s public relations officer, Hadiza Namadi.

However the commissioner in the statement, therefore, advised the general public to keep social distancing, avoid overcrowding and stay at home to keep safe as it continues to take measures to contain the spread of the disease in the state.
