Supreme Court Verdict: Judiciary committed to upholding rule of law — Oyo lawmaker, Mohammed

Member, House of Representatives representing Irepo/Orelope/Olorunsogo federal constituency of Oyo state, Hon. Prince Olaide Lateef Mohammed has applauded the Supreme Court judgement reaffirming the electoral victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The lawmaker, in a statement, said that the judiciary has demonstrated a strong commitment to upholding the rule of law for the betterment and protection of humanity with the judgement.

“I applaud the Supreme Court for its meticulous judgment on the Presidential election petition,” he said.

Mohammed, who condemned attempts at intimidation and intense pressure by certain political figures in the country, said that “the judiciary has demonstrated a strong commitment to upholding the rule of law for the betterment and protection of humanity.

“My confidence in our nation’s judiciary remains unshaken. I firmly believe that our esteemed courts will continue to administer justice to all Nigerians in every case, leaving no room for doubt.

“With that in mind, I extend my sincere congratulations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR on his resounding victory at the Apex Court. The Supreme Court’s decision to uphold your election victory against the petitions of Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi speaks volumes about the justice system in our great nation.

“The court has diligently and impartially considered all the issues presented before it, reinforcing the principles of justice without bias. This verdict conclusively settles the debate over the true winner of the 2023 Presidential election.

“I want to assure all Nigerians that we are on the verge of a brighter tomorrow, and all we need is patience as we collectively work towards our shared goals.

“As we move forward, the National Assembly stands ready to collaborate with you, President Bola Tinubu, to bring your Renewed Hope Agenda to fruition and lead Nigeria to the promised land.

“Together, we will work tirelessly for the betterment of our beloved nation.
