Popular actress Kate Henshaw is one of the celebrities whose voice is continually being heard when it comes to speaking against the ill doings of the government. Through her social media handles and at any given opportunity, the actress has remained vocal about her displeasure in the government’s dealings with it’s people.
From speaking up against bad policies to using her platform to fight injustice being perpetrated by security agencies and still keeping up with her acting life, Henshaw said she is committed to speaking for the voiceless and the oppressed.
Speaking with R during an interactive session recently in Lagos, the fitness expert said she was not backing down on using her platform and voice to address some of ills in the society, adding that somebody has to keep speaking truth to power.
“I am an advocate for transparency and accountability as well as good governance, I believe in doing the right thing and when things aren’t done the right way, I’ll not keep mute and watch, that’s why I lend my voice out as much as I can”, she said.
Speaking further, Kate revealed that she won’t back down when it comes to speaking to the government because she believes the people deserve better and the government owe it’s people the responsibility of making life comfortable for them
“Nigerians deserve better, the people shouldn’t be treated aa strangers in their own country. The level of hardship we’re facing is disheartening and something should be done about it. That’s why we will keep speaking out until something is done”,she added.
