Sit-at-home order: Ebonyi witnesses compliance, as gunmen attack motorcyclist who defied order

Published by

Following the sit-at-home order by the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to honour their fallen heroes in the South-East and South-South region, Ebonyi State has witnessed full compliance.

Tribune Online while monitoring the compliance noticed that most people living in the state capital complied except in some streets where few people were seen hanging around in front of their compounds.

At the popular Spera-in-Deo junction in Abakaliki Tribune Online also noticed that all shops, parks, were locked. There was no loading or offloading of passengers or goods.

At the International Market, no shop was opened but people were seen hanging around within their premises.

However, Tribune Online gathered that unknown gunmen attacked a motorcyclist and set his motorbike ablaze at Nnodo axis for defaulting the sit-at-home order.

More details soon…
