Shi’ite protesters take over Wuse district in Abuja, demand release of El-Zakzaky, wife

Members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) on Friday took to the streets of Abuja in continuation of their demand for the release of Ibrahim El-Zakzaky and his wife who have been in the custody of the federal government.

The members took advantage of the close of Jumat service at Wuse Zone 3 by the National Headquarters of the Nigerian Customs Service (NIS) and embedded themselves amongst the worshipers leaving the worship ground.

A Kaduna High Court has fixed July 29 for ruling in the no-case submission of his lawyer.
