Security challenges will soon be over ― COAS

Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt General Faruk Yahaya on Thursday in Ilorin has expressed optimism that Nigeria will soon overcome its security challenges.

Speaking with journalists after visiting the Nigeria Army 22 Armoured Brigade Headquarters and the Nigerian Army College of Education in Ilorin, Kwara state, Yahaya assured that the Nigerian Army, in synergy with other security agencies, will ensure that the nation overcomes its security challenges.

He also said that he is satisfied with the conduct of his men in 2 divisions of the Nigeria Army.

The Chief of Army Staff, who interacted with officers and men of the brigade, said that he has been able to identify their challenges.

He said such challenges would be addressed in order to further motivate them to improve on efforts being made to tackle the nation’s security challenges.

Yahaya’s visit to Ilorin as part of traditional operation visits to all the army formations and units in the country.
