Scientists create artificial tree that sucks up air pollution and returns pure oxygen

Published by

Trees are very necessary to clean the earth’s air but they have certain drawbacks: They need time and space to grow.

However, scientists in Mexico have created an artificial tree that can suck up as much air as what 368 real trees can do and they are planning to create more.

Nigeria loses N345m in 12days over South-West border restrictions

Designed by a Mexican scientist, Jammie Ferrer, the tree, called BioUrban, is about 14 feet in height and uses microalgae to clean carbon dioxide and other contaminants from the air, returning pure oxygen to the environment.

According to msn.com, what this device does, through technology, is to inhale air pollution equivalent to what 358 trees can inhale and carry out the process of photosynthesis and release fresh air into the environment.
