Scenes of leaked ‘Shadow Parties’ movie cause ripples on social media

A couple of scenes of a film still in the making, but about communal war, was leaked on social media during the week.

The film, entitled, Shadow Parties and featuring delectable Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Ken Erics, Yemi Blaq, Toyin Aimakhu among the others, is increasing the discussion about the evil of violence, communal clashes and kidnapping on social media since it was leaked.

The leaked scenes, which see Arike (Toyin Aimakhu), trying to wrest her son out of a mob attack and the violence that ensues has elicited over a thousand comments from viewers numbering over 200,000 people on Youtube.

The movie is still being shot at a location in Ibadan, Oyo State capital. However, director and producer, Yemi Amodu says the story revolves around Aremu (Ken Erics) who hails from Aje, a town that neighbours Iludun, where his wife, Arike (Toyin Aimakhu) was born.

Known for fratricidal wars, which had claimed the lives of Arike’s parents, the towns were one more time thrown into war after the kinsmen of Aremu decided to burn his wife and child claiming she was an enemy and also triggering a reprisal attack from the Iluduns led by Lowo (Yemi Blaq), Arike’s brother. According to Yemi Amodu, the movie will be readied for cinema soon.
