Ruth Eze shares Valentine’s Day experience in Ajegunle

Nollywood actress, Ruth Eze, has revealed how she spent the recently passed Valentine’s Day in Ajegunle, a suburb region of Lagos State.

The actress, who has been linked with not a small controversy, disclosed to Saturday Tribune that she was in Ajegunle on February 14 with a group of friends, where they distributed food to the indigent at the Market Square.

Eze, who was in the news for having a crush on Nollywood goddess, Genevieve Nnaji, said she fed some of the handicapped beggars, who couldn’t help themselves.

Asked why she visited the poor in Ajegunle on the Lovers’ Day, Ruth said that “Valentine’s Day is not only for lovers or married couples”.

She said, “Valentine’s Day should also be a day we take time to reach out to the under privileged and the needy. Even those in prisons need to be shown some love. I celebrated my day with some beggars and I felt so fulfilled inside of me feeding the hungry in my own little capacity. I gave them food, drinks and money. I had to feed some of them who were not capable of feeding themselves. That’s my own little way of reaching out to those that really need love.”

Ruth also recalled her experience on the said day: “At a point, I was so moved to tears, seeing how they were almost fighting for food. Probably they hadn’t eaten well for so long. Painfully, most of us had so much to eat and even threw a lot in the trash bins on that day. Let us all learn to show love and not to hate others.”

Meanwhile, the Nollywood actress, has remained single and searching after her fiancé severed ties with her for she reportedly declaring unholy affection for Genevieve Nnaji, a report she has strongly refuted.
