Lined up for the ongoing Glo Mega Music Nationwide Tour, the stars attracted thousands of students and residents of the university and neighbouring communities to the music concert.
The music festival, which was held at the sports field of the main campus, was anchored by two celebrated Nollywood actresses, Juliet Ibrahim and Mercy Johnson-Okojie, and witnessed a creative display of musical artistry and performances from the stars.
Runtown, the dance hall master, flagged the show proper, belting out some of his hit tunes Kolabo, Fijo Gbowo, Emergency, Baby Answer, Bend Down Pause, Mad Over You and Superwoman.
Omawumi, the ‘Na who I Go Ask’ crooner, was the second act and she was splendid in her performance as she treated the crowd to danceable Kokoma Bonsue, Somori and As I dey tracks. She was followed by another female vocalist, Yemi Alade, who also gave the audience pulsating stage performance with her equally talented band members. Her Ferrari track got the audience yearning for more.
Mama exponent, Kiss Daniel, took the show several notches higher with his No Be You track, which transformed the hall into to a dance club as all attendees took to their feet dancing and cheering.
The Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa, Timaya, and the African Queen singer, Innocent Idibia, a.k.a. Tuface, wrapped up the evening of sublime fun with above par performance that satiated the crowd and left them asking for more.
Commenting on the show, an attendee, Anka Samuel, enthused that “no other company could have done this apart from Globacom, and it is a welcome development that Glo is coming to our school for the second time in three weeks”.
