Road to finale: Who wins BBNaija on Sunday?

On July 24 and 25, 22 housemates entered the Big Brother Naija house commencing the sixth season of the popular reality show themed ‘Shine Ya Eye’.

Amidst the twists, turns, dramas, evictions, Big Brother revealed the finalists in a manner viewers had never seen before on the show by pulling a fast one on analysts and critics, breaking character and revealing that there would be six finalists instead of the usual top five.

Without further ado, meet your top six finalists for BBN Naija season six:

  1. Emmanuel

Emmanuel Umoh JR is a 24-year-old from Akwa Ibom. Before BBNaija he ran his own salon, spa, and fitness centre, and is a model who currently holds the title for Mr Africa International and was Mr Ideal Nigeria in 2019.

Umoh was the third male housemate to be introduced into Big Brother’s house, although for the first part of the season, he kept a low-profile dwelling amongst the ranks, he proved himself a worthy contender by winning tasks.

Emmanuel’s road to the final started when he won the title of ultimate veto power holder in one of Big Brother’s twists that cancelled out the weekly head of house games, a win which guaranteed him a sure spot on the top six finalists list. He also won the final head of house spot for this season.

  1. Liqourose

Roseline Afije Omokhoa a.k.a Liquorose is a 26-year-old from Edo State, who has emerged as the second finalist for this BBN season.

Liquorose, before she joined as a housemate, was an actor, who starred in movies like ‘Hex’ and made an appearance as teenager on an episode of ‘The Johnsons’. She is also a video vixen, gracing the videos of artistes like Olamide, Iyanya, Flavour, and other big names in the music industry, and part of the popular dance crew GGB.

From the first day she entered Big Brother’s house, Rose announced that she was a finalist material by doing exceptionally well in tasks, Monday night games, and always keeping the energy high during Saturday night and Jaccuzi parties.

Emerging as a two-time head of house, Liquorose became a finalist after she was nominated as the head of house by Emmanuel during his ultimate veto power win.

  1. Cross

Ikechukwu Sunday Okonkwo popularly known as Cross, is the number three finalist for Big Brother Naija season six. He is a 31-year-old from Anambra State, who runs Cross Fitness Nutrition, a fitness brand that produces high-quality sports nutrition protein that contains 109 per cent whey powder and burns fat.

For this Big Brother season, Cross is mostly known for his easy-going personality and has a vibe that most BBN fans can relate to; a quality which has endeared him to many of them. Some of his most notable moments on the show was when Sakskay convinced him to shave his signature dreadlock and the time he got entangled in a love triangle with Saskay and Jaypaul.

He became a finalist after he was chosen as deputy head of house by Emmanuel who was the ultimate veto power holder at that time.

  1. WhiteMoney

Hazel ‘WhiteMoney’ Oyeye Anou is a 29-year-old from Enugu State, who runs his own business and is now a fourth finalist.

Whitemoney positioned himself as the house’s designated chef and an all-round bringer of good vibes; it didn’t take him long to steal the hearts of fans. Hazel, for the greater part of the show, has always been a strong contender and did well to stay ahead of the pack from the first day.

One of his memorable moments was when he had a clash with Pere during the whisper game. Their fight was also the one that trended the most on social media, with some fans even recreating the moment as  comedy skits.

WhiteMoney became a finalist after he got the highest number of votes and survived Sunday’s eviction unscathed.

  1. Pere

The people’s general, Pere Egbi, is a 36-year-old from Delta State who somewhat battled for his spot on the finalist list. Before BBN found him, he was an actor, model, realtor, nurse, and served in the US military for six years.

Pere had always shown that he is a fierce opponent when he entered the BBN house as a wildcard and was never discovered by the other housemates until he was revealed by Ebuka. Besides his determination, viewers will remember Pere as the housemate whose actions were always sure to get a rise out of social media, no matter what he did, especially his clash with WhiteMoney and short-lived romance with ex-housemate Maria Chike.

Pere who was fake evicted from the show, recently joined the list of finalists after an intense game session with Angel where they both had to battle for their spots in the BBN finals.

  1. Angel

Bred in Lagos, Angel Agnes is a 21-year-old from Akwa Ibom and was the first female to be introduced into the Big Brother Naija house this year.

The show for Angel, has been a roller-coaster of emotions, but she pulled through to get a spot as a finalist as she initially struggled with the other housemates. To become the sixth finalist, Angel had to play a game of trucks with Pere after they were both fake evicted for the show.
