Return of Yakubu Dogara to PDP, good development

THE return of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, into the fold of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been described as the best thing to have happened to the party and democracy in Bauchi state in particular and the country in general considering the fact that he is an astute politician who pulls crowd anytime anywhere.

The Coordinator of Yakubu Dogara Support Group and Awareness Campaign, Comrade Sunusi Adamu made the comment in Bogoro on Saturday while speaking at a rally held in support of the reelection bid of Yakubu Dogara come 2019 general elections.

Sunusi Adamu said that Yakubu Dogara has made a political mark having been in the National Assembly consecutively for 12 years a feat that has given him an edge over many others in the race expressing confidence that come 2019, he will be reelected under the platform of the PDP.

The Support Group Coordinator added that going by the political trend in the country now, the PDP is no longer in the opposition but now the party to beat in 2019 considering the calibre of politicians who are trooping into the party.

He assured that the Support Group will not rest on its oars until Yakubu Dogara was reelected to the National Assembly in 2019 adding all other candidates of the PDP will enjoy the support of the Group during the campaigns for the general elections.

Sunusi Adamu then expressed optimism that the PDP will win the 2019 general elections considering the positive impact it had made in the past added to the achievements recorded in all PDP controlled states in the country.

In his remarks at the occasion, Chairman of the rally, Moses KK Bar commended the Group for the efforts put in place for the reelection bid of Yakubu Dogara saying that the awareness created has reawakened the interest of people of the area in PDP.

He, however, called on the electorates in Dass/Bogoro/Tafawa-Balewa Federal Constituency to ensure that Yakubu Dogara was re-elected to the National Assembly in 2019 to enable him continue his good works of development.

Chairman of PDP in Bogoro LGA, Daniel Musa who spoke on behalf of the PDP Chairmen in Dass and Tafawa-Balewa LGAs assured that they will mobilise the electorates in the area to vote for Yakubu Dogara in the 2019 general elections.

Daniel Musa declared that Yakubu Dogara has done a lot for the people of the area in terms of positive development expressing confidence that the 2019 general elections in the area will be a walkover for the PDP considering the fact that the ruling APC has failed the people.

The SSA Media to the Speaker, Iliya Habila while speaking at the occasion commended the Dogara Support Group for organising the awareness meeting saying that it has gone a long way to highlight the achievements of the Speaker in the area.

Iliya Habila then urged the people of the area to continue to support the political aspirations of the Speaker assuring that Yakubu Dogara will continue to impart positively on the living conditions of the area because he remains the speaker till June 2019 when the Assembly will be inaugurated.
