Read about Christiana Igbokwe, a 9-year-old songstress

Published by

Christiana Igbokwe is the granddaughter of the late Dr. Mrs. Christy Essien Igbokwe (mfr). Ten years after her grandmother died, Christiana has released her first Extended Play (EP), consisting of four covers and two original tracks.

Christiana not only shares the same name as the legend but also another strong trait which is her love for music.  She started showing this trait at four years, 10 months when she made a video honouring her grandmother on her sixth-year remembrance. Subsequently she has done other covers in 2020 including “You’re Welcome” from Disney’s Moana and “Let it Go” from Disney’s Frozen and just recently in 2021 Asa’s “JAILER”.

Christiana’s first body of work, ‘The Mash-Up EP’ has revealed the little girl’s taste for a wide range of genres from around the world. One of the interesting tracks is ‘Holiday’. You can listen to it on https://audiomack.com/christiana-igbokwe/album/the-mash-up-ep

Dear children, have you discovered some good traits in you like Christiana? what are they? Do you see yourself having a positive impact on the society with those traits/talents? There is no one God created with talents.

Your interest might not be music, it could be creative drawing, writing, speaking and the like. Please, keep working on it until God showcases you to the world.

Aunty Yemi believes in you; you are not too young to shine!
