THE Northern Nigeria Youths and Students Front, a group projecting Dr Ogbonaya Onu for 2023 presidency, has donated food items worth millions of naira to widows and orphans in Kano, Zamfara, Borno States as a way of assisting them during the Ramadan period.
The national president of the group, Alhaji Sunusi Abdul-Kadir, made this disclosure during the distribution of 40 bags of rice and 100 cartons of macaroni to widows and orphans in Nasarawa Local Government Area of Kano State.
Abdul-Kadir said the distribution of the items took place in 11 local government areas in each of the three states.
According to him, 27 former students of Dr Onu contributed the funds to carry out the humanitarian activity.
“We are ex-students of Chief Onu whom he taught at the University of Port Harcourt. We felt that the only way to reciprocate his good gesture is to support him to become the next president of the country and with this distribution of Ramadan food items to vulnerable people, we are helping him to reach out to the grassroots,” he stated.
