COMMERCIAL sex workers in some parts of Kano State, have lamented low patronage, blaming it on the ongoing Ramadan fast.
This has also led to instances of relocation to other states.
This may not also be unconnected to the presence of the Hisbah guard, an agency saddled with the responsibility of safeguarding decency and arresting those engaged in the act, which is contrary to Islamic injunctions.
When Sunday Tribune visited places such as Abbedie, Enugun, Wari, Hsysaws, BUK, Lodge, and Bompai roads, regarded as the hotbed of commercial sex workers, especially at night, only a handful of them were seen hanging around.
Immediately one of them sighted the correspondent, walking along Enugun road she rushed to approach him in the hope that he was a prospective customer.
