Popular Instagram cloth vendor found dead in Ibadan hotel

Adeshina Olayinka, a popular Instagram cloth vendor known as Khadi, was found dead at a hotel in Akobo, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Olayinka, who was renowned for her designer clothing and bags on social media, had informed a friend of a meeting with an individual at Wetland Hotel on the night of Wednesday, April 5, according to Oyo Affairs.

However, the man she was with checked out early on Thursday morning, and a phone call was made to Khadi’s room, to which she confirmed her safety to the receptionist.

Tragically, Khadi was found dead hours later when the receptionist contacted her to inform her that she had overstayed.

The hotel management expressed their cooperation with the Nigeria Police in the investigation into the cause of the deceased’s death.

One of our guests passed away while staying with us. We are fully cooperating with the authorities in their investigation into this matter, and we assure you that we are doing everything we can to assist the police in their efforts to determine the cause of death.”

The statement further assured guests of the hotel’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety while expressing condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

As of this moment, the Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, has not confirmed the incident. Nonetheless, the police are currently investigating the matter.
