AS Muslims across the world celebrate Mawlid Nabiyy, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Mallam Saliu Mustapha, has urged politicians to imbibe the virtues of incorruptibility, brotherliness, righteousness and love for humanity towards providing good governance and ensuring peaceful elections next year.

Mustapha, who was a governorship aspirant of the APC, in a statement to rejoice with Nigerian Muslims on the celebration of Mawlid Nabiyy, underscored the need for politicians to imbibe the virtues of Prophet Muhammad so that they could see politics as an avenue to render selfless service to humanity.

The founder of a non-governmental organisation, Saliu Mustapha Foundation, emphasised the need for politicians to emulate the sterling qualities of Prophet Muhammad in order to make Nigeria a great nation and ensure better life for the masses.

The politician also appealed to youths to desist from hooliganism ahead of the general election and reflect on the youthful days of Prophet Muhammad for them to become good ambassadors of respective their homes and the country at large.

Mallam Saliu Mustapha felicitated with Muslims all over the world on the occasion of the Mawlid Nabiyy and appealed to them to strengthen their belief in Allah and pray for peace and harmony across the world.

He commiserated with the APC in Kwara State on the death of some members of the party that were involved in a road accident on Sunday.
