Police to commence 2nd phase of NHIS for retirees in Sokoto

The Nigerian Police, Sokoto State Command has expressed its readiness to commence the phase II registration of its retirees on the National Health Insurance Scheme next week.

This is according to a statement signed by the spokesman of the command in the state, ASP Sanusi Abubakar, and released to newsmen in the state on Saturday. He explained that the exercise will commence from 12th April to 15th.

“The exercise will take place at four Police Area Commands in the state. All retired police officers who were not captured in the 1st phase of the exercise, are therefore required to visit any Police Area Command closest to them with their letters.

“The registration and services provided under this scheme are absolutely free and without any form of deduction whatsoever from the retirees’ monthly pension.

The Commissioner of Police, Sokoto State Command, CP Kamaldeen kola Okunlola, however, urged all retired police officers who were not captured during the 1st phase to take advantage of this 2nd phase enrolment and turn out for the exercise.
