BREAKING: Police arrest suspected killer of Nasarawa APC chairman, Shekwo

Police have arrested the suspected killer of Chief Philip Shekwo, the chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State.

Tribune Online reports that Shekwo was murdered after being kidnapped at his residence around Kurikyo road in Lafia, the state capital on November 21, 2020.

The suspect, Muhammed Usman was arrested by police operatives in Asakio, Lafia East local government.

The suspect was said to have confessed to the crime and his involvement in some armed robbery operations around Lafia.

Governor Abdullahi Sule announced the arrest of the suspected killer at a job fair program on Tuesday in Lafia.

According to Governor Sule, Usman is a notorious bandit and kidnapper and he has confessed that he personally killed the APC state chairman.
